A dofollow link is a link that helps to improve a website’s domain authority, and domain rating, which also improves keyword ranking. And nofollow link helps to generate traffic to your websites it does not provide authority to the websites. A dofollow and nofollow are two ways of link building. Dofollow link passes on authority to a website but nofollow link does not pass on authority. Nofollow links are still valuable for SEO you should implement them as a part of your link-building strategy.  

You can check if a link is dofollow or no follow by using a backlink analysis tool like Ahrefs or Moz. Also, you can check to inspect the link in the browser and check the HTML code. Or you can also use the “Strike Out Nofollow Links” Chrome extension.

Steps to check dofollow or nofollow link:

Right-click on your browser and click “View page source”

Next, look for the link in the HTML of the page

If you see a rel=”nofollow” attribute, that link is nofollow. otherwise, the link is dofollow.
